★ Research Paper Rockstar ★

In this course, your teen will learn how to write a research paper from start to finish. Lessons, resource articles and accompanying audio recordings are pre-loaded into our online learning center. Students initially begin work on each lesson independently.

However, a live professional teacher is assigned to each student for the duration of the course. The teacher reviews the student's work, gives individualized feedback, answers questions, and works with the student one-on-one as they move through each lesson in the program.

In Research Paper Rockstar, the primary goals are 1) to learn how to do objective research, 2) to develop strong critical thinking skills, and 3) to prepare teens for college level work.

The 20 lessons and 30+ resource articles in the curriculum include the following topics:

  • How to investigate and choose a suitable subject for a research paper
  • How to find credible sources
  • How to take the right amount of research notes
  • How to keep research notes organized
  • How to choose a focus, scope, and approach for their research paper
  • How to incorporate research notes into a written paper
  • How to paraphrase -- and not plagiarize -- research notes
  • How to cite all sources in a research paper correctly.

The Research Paper Rockstar curriculum also includes the 5-step writing composition process taught in all our Essay Rockstar courses.
