Just like the mountain climber in the picture, writing well takes one step at a time. Obviously, if you're inexperienced you don't take on the biggest challenge first. But with each mountain climbed, the next bigger mountain doesn’t look as scary because you know how to get started. You’ve learned how to overcome some obstacles, and your confidence and skill have also grown.

With each new writing challenge met, your repertoire of strategies and tactics to handle any kind of assignment increase exponentially. Before you know it, you’ll have mastered the writing process. Not only that, you just may find that it’s something you truly enjoy.
